Calico Enterprise is focused on giving opportunities and support to disadvantaged individuals in the local community.  Our Regeneration Team provides the following initiatives designed to make an impact on local worklessness:

Building Foundations
The programme started in 2006 as a response to Burnley’s growing youth unemployment and skills gap issues and is designed to provide training in a range of construction skills. 

Calico Interiors
This initiative started as an idea to give unemployed youngsters painting and decorating skills working on properties.

The Future Jobs Fund
Funded through Groundwork and The National Housing Federation, this scheme is part of the Backing Young Britain campaign. Calico is recruiting 51 new young members of staff as part of the Government’s campaign to get 18-24 year olds back into work.
